Dear customers,

This week we learned the downsides to free ranging as we lost 4 chickens
to a fox. Hopefully today we don't lose any more!

We apologize if you showed up this week and were not able to get a dozen
of eggs. The easiest way to avoid this, although not required, is to
email us ahead of time and we will set aside a dozen for you.

Don't forget that we also sell compost, peppers, and firewood.

Next Saturday, Lauren and I invite you to come to the Great Geauga
County Fair to bid on our pens of chickens that we have been raising.
We will each be selling a pen of 4 Cornish Cross chickens. This will be
our second year raising chickens. We received these chickens in the
middle of July and have been taking care of them throughout the summer.
Also at the fair, we will be showing breeding Shropshire ewes, a ram
lamb and ducks.

The sale of these chickens will go to the business.

The auction will be on Saturday September 1st, at 4pm. If you have any
questions or are interested in buying our chickens please contact Harry
on his cell at 216-904-3550 or our home at 440-893-9001. You can also
email Harry at hhawkes77@gmail.com. If you would like to see the
chickens before the fair please contact us.

We hope to see you at the auction.

Fun Fact: A rooster announces to a flock of chickens that he's found
food with a took, took, took. But the hens dont pay attention if they already know that there is food around.

Thanks,

Lauren and Harry Hawkes
