Dear Customers,

For the next four years, we are going to sponsor a student from Chiltiupán who will be attending a university in San Salvador. In addition to paying for his or her education we are going to be pen pals, sharing letters once a month. Lauren is excited to share the start of her college experience with a student from Chiltiupán.

We apologize for the lack of eggs, hopefully you haven’t come to buy some and left empty handed. We will not be selling eggs until further notice.

Fun Fact: Celebrations of mothers and motherhood can be traced back to the ancient Greeks and Romans, who held festivals in honor of the mother goddesses Rhea and Cybele, but the clearest modern precedent for Mother’s Day is the early Christian festival known as “Mothering Sunday.”
