Dear Customers,

Over the last few weeks, our chickens have been able to enjoy fresh vegetables, because of a friend Lisa Reed. Lisa has her own business called Garden of Flavor where she produces juice cleanses. After she is done making juice, she gives us the leftovers for the chickens.  Garden of flavor offers raw, organic, vegetable juices and juice cleanses, if you are interested in these products you can visit her website at www.gardenofflavor.com

We have 5 lambs so far, but we expect many more soon. They are all doing well and there are pictures below.

Fun Fact: The egg industry adds 123,100 jobs, $6.1 billion in wages, $25.8 billion in economic activity and $2.1 billion in government revenue.

Thanks,
Harry and Lauren Hawkes

Dear Customers,

No lambs were born this week, but we are hoping that they are born soon because of the warm weather.

As I said last week, pictures of the lambs will be uploaded to the website as soon as possible.

We currently have 4 dozen eggs in the refrigerator for sale.  Please feel free to pick them up anytime and leave the money in the jar.

Fun Fact: There are over 1 billion sheep in the world and China has the most sheep, however, over 60 million of them are in New Zealand at an average of 20 sheep per person.

Thanks,

Harry and Lauren Hawkes

Dear Customers,

We have bought another case of peppers, they have turned out to be quite a "HOT" seller.

There was an error in last weeks Fun Fact that was pointed out to us by a loyal customer. Christopher Columbus did not sail to America in 1943, bringing the chickens with him, rather he sailed to America in 1493.

FUN FACT: A hen chicken can live to be 20 years old.

Thanks,
Harry and Lauren Hawkes

Dear Customers,

It has been a rocky start with the new chickens entering the coop, but the territorial battles are starting to end. The term "pecking order" has a real meaning in our coop.

Over the break we have prepared wood for the next year, so for the winters to come you will be ready.

Fun Fact: Chickens came to the new world with Columbus on his second trip in 1943.

Thanks,
Harry and Lauren Hawkes
